Samantha M. Davis is an associate at Greenfield Stein & Senior, LLP, specializing in complex Trust & Estate litigation matters. Her practice areas include will and trust contests, discovery proceedings, fiduciary litigation, accounting proceedings, and estate administration. Ms. Davis is certified to be a court-appointed guardian ad litem to represent incapacitated individuals, minors, and unknown heirs in Surrogate’s Court, and incapacitated individuals in Article 81 guardianships in Supreme Court.
Prior to joining Greenfield Stein & Senior, Ms. Davis was a senior paralegal at a boutique Long Island elder law firm where she assisted in the drafting of various estate planning documents such as Wills, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts, Special Needs Trusts, health care proxies, powers of attorney, and living wills. She also focused on estate administration and directly assisted clients with handling their deceased loved one’s estates. Ms. Davis was also a law clerk of the Elder Law department in the Long Island office of Abrams Fensterman, LLP, where she was involved in contested and uncontested Article 81 guardianships and Medicaid planning. She joined Greenfield Stein & Senior as a law clerk in 2024 and became an associate attorney upon her admittance to the New York State Bar.
Ms. Davis received her J.D. from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she was an honors student, served as Issue Editor of the Touro Law Review Journal, President of the Elder Law, Trusts & Estates Association, President of Animal Legal Defense Fund, Student Chapter, and served on the executive boards of the Tax Law Society and the Environmental Law Society. Ms. Davis was a member of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) where she dedicated her time each tax season to prepare and file tax returns for qualifying individuals and families. While in law school, Ms. Davis interned for the Hon. Theresa Whelan in the Suffolk County Surrogate’s Court and externed for the Hon. James M. Wicks of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Prior to law school, Ms. Davis earned her Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Suffolk County Community College in 2015, and her B.A. in Political Science from Stony Brook University in 2018.
Ms. Davis is a member of the Trusts & Estate Section of the New York State Bar Association.
